1. About these terms
These terms apply when you access or use the Speak Life WA website. By using the website, you agree to use it lawfully and consistently with these terms.
2. Our role
Speak Life WA provides mentoring, encouragement, practical life-skills support and faith-informed programs intended to support young people and communities.
Unless expressly stated otherwise for a specific service delivered by an appropriately qualified person, Speak Life WA is not a medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, emergency, crisis-response or clinical counselling service.
3. General information only
Website content is provided for general information and community education. It is not personal, medical, psychological, legal or other professional advice and should not be relied upon as a substitute for advice from a suitably qualified professional.
While we aim to keep information accurate and current, we do not guarantee that all content is complete, current or suitable for every person or circumstance.
4. Emergencies and urgent concerns
Do not use this website or its forms for emergencies or immediate safety concerns.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services. For urgent medical, mental-health, child-protection or crisis support, contact the appropriate qualified or statutory service.
Website enquiries and email accounts are not monitored continuously.
5. No automatic service relationship
Visiting the website, sending an enquiry, making a referral or submitting a volunteer application does not create a mentoring, counselling, client, employment or volunteer relationship.
Referrals, program places and volunteer applications remain subject to assessment, availability, suitability, consent, safeguarding requirements and Speak Life WA approval. Submission does not guarantee acceptance.
6. Participation and outcomes
Individual experiences and outcomes vary. Speak Life WA does not guarantee a particular personal, educational, wellbeing, spiritual or employment outcome.
Program participation may be declined, suspended or ended where necessary for safety, suitability, capacity, conduct or other reasonable operational reasons.
7. Faith-informed services
Speak Life WA is a Christian, faith-informed organisation. Information about faith-based elements of a program should be communicated appropriately before participation.
Support must not be used to coerce, manipulate or pressure a young person to adopt particular beliefs. All people are to be treated with dignity and respect.
8. Photography, recordings and privacy
Photography, filming, audio recording and screenshots are strictly prohibited during Speak Life WA programs and activities unless specifically authorised in writing by Speak Life WA.
You must not publish or share identifying information, care arrangements, program locations or personal stories relating to a child or young person.
9. Acceptable website use
You must not:
- use the website unlawfully, fraudulently or to harm another person;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, server, forms or data;
- submit malicious code, spam, misleading information or content that infringes another person’s rights;
- copy, republish or commercially exploit website content without permission, except where permitted by law.

Unless otherwise stated, website text, branding, graphics and original resources are owned by or licensed to Speak Life WA. You may view and print reasonable extracts for personal, non-commercial use, but may not reproduce or distribute them without permission.
11. Third-party links
Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience or general information. Speak Life WA does not control those websites and does not automatically endorse their content, services, security or privacy practices.
12. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Speak Life WA excludes liability for loss arising solely from reliance on general website information, website interruption, third-party content or unauthorised use of the website.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right, guarantee, duty or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including obligations relating to child safety, negligence and applicable consumer law.
